We are currently seeking a motivated individual for our extremely face paced Amato's Deli.
This position is responsible for producing items that are ordered at the counter as well as filling our readymade sandwich/salad station and HMR station. Making an array of pizzas, calzones, and other hot plate items.
Responsibilities: Ability to follow recipes on all food prepared. Maintain a par level of deli bar items (Sliced deli meats, cheese, vegetables & sauces) Checks dates, rotates & organizes products wrapping dating all deli products that include deli meats, cheese & vegetables, bake breads. Cook off chicken, onions and peppers. Make special sauces & condiments. Works cooperatively with others and accepts direction from supervisors. Cleans work area, sweep and mop and wipe down equipment after shift; supports an orderly kitchen. Observe proper food storage and handling procedures to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment. Ensure the highest standards in sanitary kitchen procedures, food preparation and storage are maintained.
Education: Be at least 16 years of age
Physical Demands: Must be able to stand for up to 4 hours continuously, as well as frequent bending and overhead reaching with twisting motions. Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness. Must be able to lift 10-20# numerous times during the day and up to 50# several times each day, must be able to push and pull up to 7# frequently. Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.
