RL Vallee Inc, is seeking a leader for our team of technicians in St. Albans, VT. The facilities manager is responsible for our various c-store locations in parts of NY, VT, and NH. This position also oversees all our car wash operations.
This position is intended to be primarily weekday but may require on-site or home weekend work. The facilities manager is responsible for the maintenance of our buildings and petroleum equipment.
Review all maintenance requests
Seek approval for high dollar expense items and participate in repair/replace decisions
Delegate tasks to our team that they are able to complete
Dispatch other tasks to outside vendors
Coordinate estimates from various vendors for projects to ensure cost effective solutions.
Work at our Environmental managers direction to maintain environmental compliance and record keeping
Some mechanical duties such as replacing nozzles, breakaways etc.
Learn how to complete tasks that our techs are able to do, and help with the workload
Spend a part of the work week in the field, traveling to stores and completing work orders
Maintain working inventory levels
Purchase quality inventory at preferred prices
Utilize our facilities management software to track work orders, expenses, and scheduling
Respond to emergency calls which will include some nights and weekends. This can mean dispatching a tech/vendor, or fixing the problem themselves.
Handle payroll and personnel functions associated with the service department personnel
Must be able to work any area of our geography which may mean long driving days. Position requires bending, standing, and walking+ the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Some night and weekend on call availability for emergency calls
Must have a valid drivers license
